BulletDrop is a simple external ballistics calculator for iOS. It accepts inputs of bullet weight, ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, sight height, zero range, wind speed & angle, etc and calculates velocity, energy, flight path, and drift. Output is displayed in selectable increments out to ranges of 100 to 2000 yards. The default is 50 yard increments out to a range of 1000 yards. You can change these selections in Settings.

BulletDrop is intended for reloaders and shooters of all varieties. It gives them an idea what various cartridges and load recipes will do at the range. The information provided is in no way a substitute for actual range time. Get out and shoot!

Pros and cons of BulletDrop app for iPhone and iPad

BulletDrop app good for

The Field Ballistik Koeffizient accept only "1" for Sample .230 is not possible in my iPhone 4 newest Firmware Fritz from Germany Now the program is Perfect 5 Stars
Strait foreword, no bugs, just works. Would be nice to store calculated info.
This app does everything that you could possibly want in a free ballistics app. The only things that would be an improvement would be: 1) automatic temperature and barometer data down loads from your iPhone; and 2) G7 coefficient option. Otherwise its perfect.

Some bad moments

Anny modification to the default BC results in a warning stating that the BC must be between 1.000 and 0.000, even thought it is. Its the only problem that I have found (so far) but it renders the program usless. Fix it and it will actualy be a very usfull program. P.S. Is the BC a G1 or a G7, please specify.
Cant change units only in Deg F not versatile and the dots (.) dont work. I do not recommend this buy something instead.
Nice app for external ballistics. The calculations agree with results from other validated ballistics engines. It would be very handy to have atmospheric input (altitude, pressure, humidity, and temperature), and have the ouput table in user defined increments (1, 5 10 yards).
Pretty darn close to high dollar programs. I use it to check different load capabilities. Free on top of that. Thanks for your work
Someone ruined the app. Only goes to 500 yards now. If that is all you want, great. Bring back the 1000 yards.
Simple, easy to use. Quickly provides an easy to read drop chart. Would be very functional in the field or at the range.
