BulletDrop App Reviews

Great App for free

I am surprised the app does not have temperature or altitude settings. I am shooting at 3500 feet, the difference in drop is about 15% versus sea level. Otherwise it is a very handy app.

Hunting App

This is the greatest free app for a hunter ever.

Great

Really needs altitude input

Waste of time

There are bullet manufacturers that have better apps and they are free without needing to buy an upgrade.

I use this regularly

I enjoy long range shooting and this app makes saves me time and effort and gets me on target fast. The calculations are accurate if you know how to use and apply the information this app gives then it is well worth the price.

Leo

This app seems to do a good job. Only issue I have is that the specs I enter change back to an apparent per entered entry programmed in the app. Can someone advise how to correct this issue.

Couldnt delete

Extremely useful but I never get out to the range anymore. Went to delete the app and I just couldnt do it... Who knows when I might need to make a 1000 yard shot

Dead on

The trajectory is dead on with the expensive paid programs. You just have to figure out the clicks yourself. Great program

Perfect

Simple, accurate and easy to use. Take your time and get all of the proper info for the bullet you are using and the app will give you very accurate data.

Perfect

Best ballistic program without the expense

Verifiable

Its easy and at least up to 600 yds, spot on with my .270 Win and 150 gr. VLDs. All drops were within . 1 MOA of actual range results if your inputs are accurate.

Poor at best

Gives the same drop at 1000yds for bullet weight of 130 as 220??? Wouldnt trust this to dial in a long shot. Even worse than I thought, from 40gr to 600gr gives same data, what a joke!

Fake!

Its telling me a 2gr bullet has the same drop as a 700gr bullet.. Nice try.. fake!

Senior

Works fine. Some folks do not understand that bullet drop due to gravity is the same regardless of the weight if the bullet!

BulletDrop

Some people dont get the concept that gravity is the same no matter the mass (weight). A two grain bullet and a 500 grain bullet dropped at the same time from the same height or shot out of different level barrels at the same time and height, hit the ground at the same time. Even though they may land 100 yrds. apart. The flight time and drop time is the same for both. With that in mind, this calculator is very handy for reloaders and long rangers.

Works Great, Easy to Use, Customizable, Includes Atmospheric Adjustments

This app works just as advertised. I like the fact that it allows for a wide range of adjustments in the output. You can change the total distance displayed, as well as the intervals. Makes it useful for high-powered, flat-shooting rounds as well as lower-velocity, more rounded-trajectory loads like handgun calibers. As others have pointed out, bullet weight has no effect on trajectory. What matters is ballistic coeficient and velocity. If you could find a 2 grain bullet and a 500 grain bullet with the same ballistic coeficient and the same velocity (which you couldnt) theyd follow the same trajectory. So why, you may ask, is bullet weight one of the inputs? Because in addition to bullet drop and windage, this app also calculates the terminal energy delivered by the bullet at each distance, and for that you do need to know the weight (as well as velocity).

Crashes when changing Range incrementa

This new version 3.0.3 now crashes when I try to change Range increments. This never happened with the previous version.

Total trash

Dont waste your time

Needs to add...

Only thing the app needs is to add is the ability to write in if your using a 20 or 30 MOA scope rail. Good app otherwise.

Good design flawed application

Needs work.
